As it now seems certain that the Scarce Blue-tailed Damselfly - Ischnura pumilio has become extinct in Bedfordshire, it's unlikely that I'll take any local photographs.

The last Scarce Blue-tailed Damselfly sighting was at Sundon Chalk Quarry in 2003, but the site deteriorated and suitable habitat was lost. The site has since been improved, so perhaps it may one day return to Bedfordshire.
